ASPROGUATE (Asociacion sostenible de productores de Guatemala) formed in 2014 by organized producers in Coban, Acatenango, and Chimaltenango, markets high-quality organic coffees. With 100 initial producers, it has expanded to include Acatenango, Atitlan, and San Martin Jilotepeque. About 55% are women. The cooperative conducts workshops on organic farming, soil care, and promotes gender equality by combating discrimination, slavery, and child labor.
